The green palette

One of the additive primary colours. To me, green means nature.

This collection of photos is here to render tribute to the 495–570 nm range.

Solanum quitoense

Solanum quitoense

Smart (natural) design

Solanum quitoense, better known in Colombia as “Lulo” (from Quechua). This plant was my favourite growing up.

The leaves are covered in thorns and long upright hairs while the backside’s hairs form a mesh-like structure.
Be careful, you can love it, you can pet it. But it can hurt you too!

Mariposa vagarosa

Mariposa vagarosa

Mariposa vagarosa…

rica en tinte y en donaire,
¿qué haces tú de
rosa en rosa?,
¿de qué vives en el aire?
−Yo, de flores
y de olores
y de espumas de la fuente
y del sol resplandeciente
que me viste de colores.

The Minotaur

Yes, it is not a Minotaur. But this shot of a Highland cow reminds me of this mythical creature. Caught it just as it was trying to get its food.

Hidden in plain sight

Hidden in plain sight…

Did you notice the small bird hidden between the greens? This little one was a very happy guy early in the morning!

Lulo and the drop

My work is centred on soft and microstructure surfaces. I could not resist testing the wettability of the Lulo leaf.

Between the vegetation to the water…

Between the vegetation to the water…

Between the vegetation to the water…

This type of vegetation, growing at the edge of a lake caught my eye. It divides its length into small sections which render it easily breakable and fun to play with!
