The blue palette

One of the primary colours for pigments, blue is everywhere. Yet curiously, it was one of the most difficult dyes to produce. Medieval paintings would use blue almost exclusively for deities. Nowadays, us, mortals use it too.

This collection of photos is here to render tribute to the 450–495 nm range.

A dragonfly in Radio Kootwijk

Found this dragonfly during a (long) bike ride around Radio Kootwijk. I caught it just as it was struggling to leave the water.

Keep on swimming…

Swimming in the summer…

The elegance of this swimming grebe caught my eye. You can appreciate the wake at its tail. Just, beautiful.
